Terms and Conditions

By booking a trip with Asili Climbing Kilimanjaro, you agree to the terms and conditions outlined below. These terms apply to all our trekking tours, safaris, and combined packages.

1. Booking & Confirmation

  • A booking is confirmed only after receiving a deposit and a written confirmation from Asili Climbing Kilimanjaro.

  • All travelers must provide accurate personal details, including full names (as per passport), travel dates, and any medical or dietary needs.

  • Booking on behalf of a group means you accept responsibility for all group members.

2. Payments

  • A deposit of 30% is required at the time of booking.

  • The balance must be paid at least 30 days before the start of the trip.

  • Payments can be made via bank transfer, credit card, or other secure methods (fees may apply).

  • Late payments may result in cancellation without refund.

3. Cancellations & Refunds

By the client:

  • 60+ days before departure: 90% refund

  • 30–59 days before departure: 50% refund

  • Less than 30 days: no refund

By Asili Climbing Kilimanjaro:

  • We reserve the right to cancel any trip due to safety, weather, or unforeseen events. In such cases, you will receive a full refund or be offered an alternative date.

4. Amendments

  • Trip changes by the client may be possible depending on availability and may incur additional costs.

  • Name changes are allowed up to 15 days before the trip.

  • Asili Climbing Kilimanjaro reserves the right to make minor itinerary adjustments due to local conditions.

5. Travel Insurance

  • All participants must have valid travel insurance covering:

    • High-altitude trekking (for Kilimanjaro)

    • Emergency evacuation

    • Medical treatment

    • Trip cancellation and interruption

Proof of insurance may be requested before the trip begins.

6. Health and Fitness Requirements

  • Climbing Kilimanjaro and going on safari requires physical and mental preparedness.

  • Participants must declare any pre-existing health conditions.

  • Asili Climbing Kilimanjaro is not liable for medical issues that arise during the trip.

7. Visas & Entry Requirements

  • It is the traveler’s responsibility to obtain a valid Tanzanian visa before arrival.

  • Passports must be valid for at least six (6) months from the travel date.

8. Liability & Responsibility

  • We are committed to your safety, but participation in adventure travel involves inherent risks.

  • Asili Climbing Kilimanjaro is not responsible for:

    • Loss or damage to personal property

    • Injuries or illness

    • Delays or changes caused by weather, flight issues, or government decisions

We are, however, committed to acting professionally and minimizing risks wherever possible.

9. Behavior & Conduct

  • Respect for guides, staff, local communities, and fellow travelers is expected.

  • Any behavior deemed unsafe or offensive may result in removal from the trip without refund.

10. Use of Photos and Testimonials

  • We may use photos and reviews shared by clients for promotional purposes unless you request otherwise in writing.

11. Governing Law

All terms are governed by Tanzanian law. Any disputes shall be resolved through local courts in Arusha, Tanzania.
