Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you’ll be transferred to your accommodation, where your guide will conduct a full briefing and equipment check to prepare you for the adventure ahead.

Your journey begins with a 45-minute drive from Moshi to Machame Gate. After registration, the trek starts along a winding trail through lush rainforest, the wettest zone on the mountain. Expect occasional afternoon showers, making the trail slippery at times.

The climb gradually eases as you approach Machame Camp, located at the transition between the forest and giant heather zones.
