Trek & Safari Overview
This 11-day journey blends two of Tanzania’s greatest treasures — the majestic summit of Mount Kilimanjaro and the raw, unforgettable beauty of its national parks. With 8 days on the Lemosho Route, one of Kilimanjaro’s most scenic and successful trekking paths, followed by 3 days of classic safari, this itinerary offers a once-in-a-lifetime combination of challenge, discovery, and deep connection to nature.
The Lemosho Route gives you a slow, steady ascent through rainforest, moorlands, and alpine desert, improving your chances of reaching Uhuru Peak (5,895m) successfully. After celebrating your summit, you'll descend into the world of elephants, lions, giraffes, and flamingos during a thrilling 3-day safari through Tarangire National Park, the Ngorongoro Crater, and Lake Manyara.
This combo is perfect for travelers who want to push their limits on Africa’s highest peak and then relax and recharge in the vast wild landscapes of northern Tanzania. Every detail — from mountain huts to safari lodges — is thoughtfully handled by the expert team at Asili Climbing Kilimanjaro.
